He specialises in improving financial stability, marketing, building high performance teams, increasing profitability and compliance. Prior to establishing the IIBE, Scott held various senior management roles within the FMCG and Biotechnology industries including having global responsibility for areas relating to operational risk. He has presented at conferences in both Italy and the Netherlands and led professional development workshops for Meeting & Events Australia. His client base come from a diverse range of industries including Professional Services, Fashion, Finance, Manufacturing, IT, Retail, Health, Engineering and Property. Scott has an MBA and a Masters of Management. He is a regular contributor to GWP Magazine Business Resource and Lifestyle and is the driving force behind the IIBE Excel in Business Podcast series. Associate - Paul ThompsonPaul commenced his career as a teacher, progressing into school and regional executive positions within the education sector. He moved into sales and marketing, leading national teams and managing business units within a variety of international publishing organisations. Paul commenced his consulting career with the international organisation, Mercuri Urval in 1999. He joined Chandler Macleod's Consulting Solutions in 2003 as a Senior Consultant. In 2005, Paul started Closework Consulting to provide clients with a more flexible and service focused approach tailored to meet their individual needs. Paul has consulting experience across a wide range of industry sectors including manufacturing, IT, public relations, finance, transport, consumer products, technology and the public sector. Paul joined the IIBE as an associate in 2007. His broad consulting experience includes organisational analysis and development, role analysis & design, strategy facilitation, leadership and management development, executive coaching/mentoring, career transition/outplacement, executive search/selection, team development workshops, recruitment audits, sales team development/training, performance management and succession planning. Associate - Michael ClarkeMichael is a security and business risk management specialist. He has provided security advice and services to businesses both large and small; past clients include; Propex, Bovis Lend Lease, Delfin Lend Lease, GAME, Virgin Blue, Sydney Swans, Hugo's Group, ING, Travelodge, Toga Hospitality, Killara Golf Club, City Extra, Colonial First State Property Management (CFSPM), DL Star, Logan Diggers, Nerang RSL, Club Swans and Group GSA. Within Corporate Australia, Michael has also provided close personnel protection (CPP) and advice to some of Sydney's A-list sporting and corporate personalities. Earlier in his career, Michael acted as a Senior Consultant with the Barrington Group of Companies and was instrumental in the set-up of Operations for the Groups' Queensland Venture in 2002. Michael has also worked in the NSW Club Industry for over 10 years where he successfully oversaw Security and Operations at several Clubs, implementing security procedures to assist management in security, business strategies and system design. Michael's background also includes time as a Security Manager for one of Australia's leading retail department stores David Jones Limited. Michael was responsible for the implementation of cultural change, the formulation of new procedures and investigations within David Jones Limited. Michael was also influential in assisting the Kings Cross Partnership Project to create a security plan, undertaken by the University of Western Sydney in July 1999 (By Professor Don Robertson). The plan was set up to address the problems within the Kings Cross Business District. Michael currently is the Managing Director of The Coolers Group Pty Ltd a security based consulting firm that operates throughout Australia and will soon offer services overseas. Michael has 15 years experience in the Security Industry. Michael joined the IIBE as an associate in 2007 and is currently writing two books relating to Corporate Espionage and Close Personal Protection. Both books will be released later this year. |
